A. K. Ganesan, President & CEO

Ganesan took over as President of Arasan in 2001 and has grown the company to leadership positions in the mobile storage and mobile connectivity IP markets. Ganesan defined the company’s strategic differentiation by offering a comprehensive IP solution and investing in an analog mixed-signal design team in order to meet the challenges of evolving standards. The company now employs nearly 250 people in San Jose, CA in the USA and Bangalore and Tuticorin in India. Ganesan has a BS/BE in Engineering from R. V. College of Engineering, Bangalore, and Marketing from San Jose State University.

Prakash Kamath, Chief Technical Officer

Responsible for Arasan engineering worldwide, Prakash has 29 years of extensive design and management experience. Prakash has successfully contributed to establishing the Arasan “Total IP Solution” and has been instrumental in achieving Arasan’s leadership position with regard to Mobile Storage and MIPI IP solutions. Prior to joining Arasan in 2002, Prakash held design and management positions at AMD, National, and Chips & Technologies. Prakash holds a BS degree from the University of Madras, India, and an MS degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, USA.

Ron Mabry, Vice President Worldwide Sales

Ron is a proven leader in large companies and start-ups with rich experience in semiconductor IP, software solutions, semiconductors products, and Internet solutions. He has demonstrated skills in results-driven management in sales, business development, marketing, distribution channels, supply chain, and operations management. His experience includes management positions in sales and marketing at Logic Vision, PACT XPP, eChips, Bell Microproducts, Western Micro Technology, and Avnet. Ron is a graduate of the National Radio Institute.

Chari Santhanam, Vice President of Engineering

Chari has a deep background in digital IP design and management.  He is responsible for all of Arasan’s digital IP core and hardware development platform engineering.  He has over 20+ years of management experience in the semiconductor industry.  Most recently he was Director of Engineering at Synopsys where he was responsible for the USB Digital IP cores.  Earlier, he played a leading role in building the leading USB IP from startup to a multimillion dollar revenue level.  He has also held engineering management positions at InSilicon, Phoenix, Sand Microelectronics, LSI Logic and Viewlogic Systems. Chari has a B.S. in Physics form Fergusson College, Pune, India and a BSEE from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India.

Andrew Haines, Vice President of Marketing

Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in marketing high-technology semiconductor and electronic design automation products. He has extensive experience in successful marketing organization development, positioning for IPO, business strategy development, new product planning and marketing, marketing communications and OEM license negotiation. While at Synplicity, he directed marketing activities from initial market entry through the successful IPO and then led marketing efforts for Synplicity as a public company. In addition, he has held marketing management positions at Synopsys, Actel, VLSI Technology, and Intel. He holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of Wisconsin.

Rao Padamunnur, CFO

P. N. Rao is responsible for Human Resources and Administration of the Arasan San Jose office and of Accounting and Finance for Arasan’s worldwide operations. He successfully implemented the Arasan ERP system and focuses on cost control throughout the organization. Rao has worked as Head of Finance for the Tandon Group of companies in Bombay, India and Sri Lanka. He is a Chartered Accountant from India and CPA from Massachusetts with over 25 years of work experience.

Atul Garg, Senior Director of Software and Systems Development

Atul has 17 plus years of embedded wireless products development and management experience with multinationals including NXP, Philips, Compaq, NCR, and Timex. Atul has many patents and contributions in the area of wireless standards. In addition, he has released a series of commercial multimillion dollar products in the mobile market working with customers including Samsung, Sony Ericson and Intel to name few. He has an MS in System Engineering and MBA from San Jose State University, CA, USA.

Mike Kliment, Senior Director of Analog Mixed-Signal Design

Mike has an extensive background in digital, analog and mixed signal design and management.  Mike founded Virtual Silicon in Feb 1997 and grew the business to approximately a $20M run rate and 80 employees. In addition, he managed the advanced technology group where test chips, process consulting, and process IP were developed. More recently, he was Director of Engineering for ARM’s San Jose Design Center.   Earlier he served as Director of Engineering for Mentor Graphics Intellectual Property  operation.  His previous experience includes management and design responsibility at Compass Design Automation and VLSI Technology.  Mike has a BSEE from Cal State Polytechnic at Pomona.

Zachi Friedman, Senior Director of Marketing

Zachi has 20 years experience in software development, field application engineering and marketing positions. His NAND Flash experience spans devices, controllers and SSDs. He has also worked in networking, Infiniband and Ethernet. He is responsible for all mobile storage IP products. He holds an MBA from Tel Aviv University, and a B.S. in Computer Science from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
